Materials described:

  • MOP – Mother of Pearl
  • Green Abalone
  • Reconstituted stone
  • Kirinite – An acrylic-based material available in a myriad of colours and patterns that is used in making pistol grips and knife handles – see https://kirinite.com/
  • G10 – another gunstock material – glass-based epoxy resin laminate.
  • Glow-in-the-dark acrylic
  • Abalam – reconstituted Abalone.
  • Wood – he uses it at about 50-70 thou thick, and he coats it (top and bottom) with CA glue before working with it.
  • He also uses a sample of what he calls ‘Atlantine’ (sic) in a red color to replicate the StewMac logo.
